The founder

Kim Goodier

The Groom Pad is run by animal lover and City & Guilds qualified dog groomer Kim Goodier — somewhere you can take your dog to be treated with love and affection, in and around Exeter.

Kim built the salon around one idea: that grooming should be calm. No cage or cabinet dryers, no overbooking, no rushing, and a proper car park so nobody arrives flustered. Bespoke requests are always welcome.

Meet Natasha – Groomer, Trainer & Educator

Dogs have always been a huge part of Natasha’s life, with her family life surrounded by four-legged companions from the very beginning. This lifelong love of dogs has helped shape her understanding of their individual personalities, needs and behaviours.

With five years of grooming experience, Natasha holds City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Dog Grooming. She combines her professional training with a natural understanding of canine behaviour, carefully reading dogs’ body language and recognising the subtle signals they use to communicate how they are feeling.

As a groomer, trainer and educator at The Groom Pad, Natasha is passionate about providing kind, patient and individual care for every dog. She understands the importance of helping dogs feel safe and comfortable during grooming and adapting her approach to suit each dog’s needs.

Natasha also loves sharing her knowledge and supporting others as they develop their grooming skills and confidence. This passion for education has helped inspire the development of The Groom Pad Academy, where she can help nurture the next generation of professional dog groomers.

For Natasha, dog grooming is about so much more than creating a beautiful finish. It’s about understanding dogs, respecting their individual needs and building trust through compassionate care. She is proud to be part of The Groom Pad team, where a shared love of dogs is at the heart of everything we do.

Meet Hallie – Dog Groomer

Hallie began her journey with The Groom Pad in 2022 as an apprentice, where Kim trained and supported her as she developed her grooming skills. She has been part of the team ever since, growing in confidence, developing her own unique style and discovering a real love for the grooming trade.

Hallie continues to bring care, dedication and commitment to her work, always taking pride in helping dogs look and feel their best. As well as grooming, she particularly enjoys using our teeth-cleaning system to help get dogs’ teeth gleaming white.

Her experience, enthusiasm and caring nature make her a valued member of The Groom Pad team, and we’re proud to have been part of her journey as a groomer.

Meet Beth – Dog Groomer

Beth began her grooming career in 2020 and joined The Groom Pad in February 2024, bringing her valuable experience from another salon in East Devon. She made the move to our team when the business closed one of its salons and has quickly become a committed and reliable member of The Groom Pad family.

Having grown up surrounded by dogs, Beth has always adored the unconditional love and companionship they bring. She believes in giving that same love back through kindness, patience and care, making sure every dog is treated as an individual and feels as comfortable as possible during their grooming experience. Her loving nature and friendly smile bring warmth to both the dogs and their owners, helping to create a welcoming and positive grooming experience for everyone.
